Earth Week ’11

Congratulations Art of ReUse Winner!

The winner of the Etsy and Green is Universal Art of ReUse contest was announced this morning on the TODAY Show by Kathie Lee and Hoda. Congratulations to Jill Morrison, the creator of the Cast Iron Bathtub Couch. See Jill’s entry here.

Earlier this month, a call for submissions was made to submit your best and most creative examples of ReUse. We received an overwhelming amount of submissions and opened up voting to the public. The top 10 finalists were then reviewed by our celebrity panel of judges. All of the finalists stretched the judges’ imaginations, but Jill’s won out, saving what might otherwise have added to a landfill and converting it to a functional home furnishing!

Interested in purchasing the winning submission? Go to Jill’s Etsy Shop: ruffhouseart.

Thank you to all the entrants, your work was all so beautiful and creative. We really enjoyed reviewing your projects! To see them all and for more ReUse ideas visit www.greenisuni.com/reuse.
