Like a fog that touches everything "going green" is growing. Once a passion for tree huggers, the environment is now mainstream. You'll find environmentally friendly people from living rooms to corporate boardrooms.

The reasons are as varied as those going green. High gas prices, the fear of global warming, eating organic foods and wearing organic clothes to avoid pesticides are just a few.

New homeowners are putting solar panels on their roofs to heat their water and slate on their floors to catch the warmth of the sun. New buildings have huge windows that reduce the need for electric lighting and toilets that don't need water to flush.

Being Green is in. Use less. Make it last longer. It is the subject of school projects, the nucleus of advertising campaigns, the conversation around the kitchen table and of parents watching a soccer game. It is like a green snowball rolling down hill that gets bigger and goes faster. The 64 thousand dollar question is... "how long will it last." While I don't have an answer I'm betting continues to grow until gas prices go down and some one declares global warming has ended.
