In addition to the New York and Los Angeles events, NBCU Volunteers helped Make Green Count around the country - and world - this week.
In Miami, volunteers cleaned up John U. Lloyd Beach State Park in Dania Beach, Florida. The event, as part of the South Florida Living Green Fair, involved employees from WSCV, WTVJ, Telemundo, GE, and the Hispanic Forum.
"It was a gorgeous day," said Maria Christina Barros, who helped organize the event. "We had a great time and helped make a difference!"

Employees in Washington D.C. teamed up with NBCU Foundation grantee organization Environmentors to help students at Wilson High School identify environmental issues and specific project topics.
In Dallas, NBCU Volunteers beautified their adopted school's garden by cleaning the area, staining a pergola, performing minor repairs to benches, and planting flowers, vines, and seeds with first and fourth grade classes, as part of the "Real School Gardens" program.
UK employees also took part in Green Week, emphasizing their goal to recycle unwanted items. Volunteers from across the NBCU international businesses worked with Dress for Success to sort donated clothes and accessories. Also, Green Drop & Swap events took place at Oxford House, Prospect House, and Fleet Place, where employees brought in unwanted CDs, DVDs, books, clothes, and other items to swap. A range of merchandise was donated by several marketing departments to Dress for Success, The Passage, and the local YMCA.
NBCU employees also braved the winter weather to volunteer at the Wildfowl Wetlands Trust to help clear reeds in the waters, benefiting local wildlife.
