Lights Off. Screens On.

For Earth Week 2014, we’re asking you to join us in saving energy by watching in the dark.

When you consider that TVs, tablets, laptops, and mobile devices are all illuminated when in use, it begs the question: Why bother with any other lights?

If every household in the United States turned off two light bulbs for one hour every day, we’d save more than five billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, nationwide, each year. The amount of coal it takes to produce that much electricity could fill up the Empire State Building almost three times!

So this Earth Week, go here to pledge how many lights you’ll turn off anytime your screen is on. Then, enter to win an energy-efficient smart TV or a Green is Universal prize pack filled with lots of green goodies.

Plus, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+ to stay up-to-date with all our exciting plans!
